Mars
in the Mind of Earth started in 1996
as a simple list to help me identify books and
short stories I owned about Mars. As the list
grew, I started adding items I wanted, and before
long it grew into a small bibliography which
I hoped would be useful to others.
Seven
years and hundreds of users and citations later,
MME is still around. My hope
is that it will continue to grow, with new items
added as they appear but also going back to
include references to as much of the earlier
literature as can be found. With help, it can
be an ongoing record of humankind's longest
fascination with another planet, and a tool
to learn more about both Mars and people who
have followed their hopes, through science or
imagination. For more information about plans

Becoming
a Sponsor
You
can help. Maintaining this site takes time,
effort, material, knowledge, and funds. To
accomplish that, to grow this site, and to
promote interest in Mars, sponsorships for
MME are available. There
are 5 levels of sponsorship, the last being
unique:
Advocate.........................................................$25.00/year

An Advocate sponsorship is for individuals
or small groups who share an interest in the
human exploration of Mars. Advocates will
be added to the notify list of any changes
to the site and, if they give their consent,
their name will be listed on the sponsor page
with the other sponsors. If we get t-shirts
made, I'll send advocates one as well.
Supporter........................................................$150.00/year

As a Supporter of the site, the sponsor receives one complimentary
copy of the QMB, a mention and link on the sponsor
page, and a linked image of their logo or identifying image on the
index page of one of the main sections of the site:
People, Books, Articles, Novels, Short Fiction, Images, Sound, Motion
Pictures, or Web Sites. The choice is up to the sponsor.
Sustainer........................................................$350.00/year

As a Sustainer of the site, the sponsor
receives two complimentary copies of the
QMB, a mention and link
on the sponsor page, and an linked image
of their logo or identifying image on all
the pages of one of the
main sections of the site. The choice of
which section is up to the sponsor.
Patron............................................................$1200.00/year
USD
As a Patron of the site, the sponsor receives
2 complimentary copies of the QMB,
a mention and link on the sponsor page,
and a linked image of their logo or identifying
image on the home page
of MME and on all the pages
of the site.
Underwriter....................................................$5000.00/year
USD
One
(1) Underwriter of the site will receive
2 complimentary copies of the QMB,
top position and identification as Underwriter
of the site on the sponsor page, a linked
image of their logo or other identifying
image in the top position on the home page
and all pages of the site, and a notice
on the front graphic of the site (at http://www.marsearth.com/)
mentioning them as underwriter of the site
with a link, if they so choose.
All
sponsors are added to the notify list of
changes and also receive the Quarterly Sponsor
Newsletter, which details activity on the
site and notes upcoming changes.
